Bosques andinos de la vertiente occidental de la Cordillera Occidental en el Departamento de Nariño (Lynch & Burrowes, 1990;Ruiz et al. 1996; Lynch, 1998;Acosta, 2000; Bernal & Lynch, 2008) entre los 1780-2700 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
